For most of the time, a description on what has been achieved and how you have solved certain problems would be sufficient. You may ant to add a short video (2 mins max) explaining your progress.  You may also want to add game design drawings, screenshots of early prototypes, UI designs, level design. Moreover, links to interesting websites, books and tutorials would also be beneficial. The project blog does not need to include code snippets.
